Chris McDonald – Victorian Forklift Hire and Rental Specialist

Meet Chris McDonald:

Waverley Forklifts’ Victorian Account Manager and Hire & Rental Specialist.

Chris, our Victorian Account Manager, has been with Waverley Forklifts for six years. He began at WFL as a Retail Service Manager and after excelling at this role and getting to know our customer base, he moved to the position of Rental Account Manager two years ago.

Chris is the expert in long term forklift rental at our Victorian branch and his typical day is spent out and about on the road, visiting new and existing customers.

A bit of background:
Chris is a certified fitter and machinist, and he did this qualification with a heavy industry mining equipment manufacturer. He then became a field service technician for BT forklifts.

With this experience, Chris progressed into the field of training and became a High Risk Work Licence assessor. He spent two years at Toyota Material Handling and then the next eight running his own RTO named Pro-Active Training. Chris also holds a Diploma of Workplace Health & Safety.

Chris’ training, safety and compliance knowledge is invaluable when it comes to assessing onsite material handling equipment requirements – in fact, one of his favourite parts of the job is finding solutions to a customer’s sometimes very specific needs!

Chris tells us he loves working with the team at Waverley, and this sentiment is reciprocated by all of his colleagues. Chris’ wry sense of humour is famous throughout the company and it’s never a dull day when he’s in the office.

Outside of work, Chris is a keen off-road motorbiker who also restores motorcycles and enjoys spending times outdoors with his family.

Chris is dedicated to providing all of Waverley Forklifts customers with exceptional service and forklift equipment. His commitment to this is second to none and he personifies the principles of “The Waverley Way” each and every day.
